Fritaly 2014: Verdict

Update: The bed was pretty great. It may have actually been the best sleep of my life. It may also be that I am EXHAUSTED, but whatevs.... :-)

Trip Itinerary: June 10 - June 20, 2014

Day 1 - 2: Flight and arrival; when we land, we'll settle into our hotel and perhaps take in Montmartre. We'll have the chance to view Place de Tertre and Sacre-Coeur.
Day 3: On today's to-do list will be the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Elysees, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and a trip on the Seine on the Bateaux-Mouches.
Day 4: Today will find us heading to Fontainebleau and visiting the Hotel des Invalides.
Day 5: Road trip! We'll be taking a bus to Giverny to see Monet's home; when we return, there will be some "free time" in Paris.... Hmm.... What to do?? Take in a movie? Visit the Musee d'Orsay? TBA!
Day 6: Planes, trains, and automobiles! We'll be heading to Venice today! Some beach time on the Lido beaches??
Day 7: Italia! A tour of Venice today--we'll see the Doges' Palace, St. Mark's Basilica, the Bridge of Sighs... beware the pigeons and follow the yellow arrows.... :-) We'll also get to see a glass-blowing demonstration today!
Day 8: We'll be bused to Milano today! We'll be seeing the Duomo, the mall, DaVinci's horse, and many other sights here.
Day 9: Today, we visit The Mother City: Cuggiono!!! The students will meet the families and structures that make Herrin what she is today. Our kids meet their kids and we establish a new generation of ties to the Mother City.
Day 10: Ciao et au revoir! We gather up our treasures and memories and begin the flight home! See you soon!!
